Job interviews can be a stressful time because of all the anxiety and pressure based on performing your best. The stress you feel can cause the level of stomach acid in your stomach to increase which can in turn cause you to feel sharp pains in your abdomen. Feeling these pains right before a job interview is not desired. Eating right the morning and day of your job interview will help avoid stomach pain while providing you with good brain fuel.
If your job interview is in the morning, a well-balanced breakfast will help give you the burst of energy required. You might think a hearty breakfast would provide you with stamina for your interview; however, it could actually have the opposite effect.
A hearty meal will require more energy from your body for digestion which will leave less energy for you to function at full capacity. You don’t want to be drowsy and yawning during your interview! The best approach would be to have one of the following options:
- Granola/cereal, yogurt and an apple
- Scrambled eggs, toast and orange juice
- Whole grain bagel with low-fat cream cheese with orange juice
- Peanut butter and banana on an English muffin.
Instead of coffee, try having an apple which contains the same amount of caffeine as one cup of coffee and provides energy that is longer-lasting. Without as much sugar as coffee, the apple will not cause you to crash a few hours after consumption. Also, try to avoid coffee which will increase stomach acid, more so than orange juice, and might increase the chances of abdominal pain when compounded with stress.
If your job interview is after lunch, have one of the above mentioned or similar style breakfast meals and for lunch create a meal combining a few of the following foods that promote active brain functioning:
- Low Glycemic index foods do not increase insulin secretion so blood sugar levels remain steady to avoid the sugar crash:
- Fruits (grapefruit, apples, cherries, oranges, and grapes)
- Vegetables and legumes (soybeans, kidney beans, chick peas, and lentils)
- Dairy products (milk and yogurt)
- Protein provides amino acids to the brain which help neurotransmitters send messages in your body:
- White meat poultry
- Eggs
- Beans
- Grains
- Fish for omega fatty acids which, just like protein, helps with neurotransmitters
Eating the right foods before a job interview could have a serious impact on your performance at the interview. Take your time in choosing and preparing meals the day of your interview to ensure that you eat foods that provide maximum brain power.

I just had Aloo Chana (potatoes and chickpeas in a spicy sauce) with lemon rice and it was sooooo hearty and satisfying!!!! It was full of protein as well!!!! *Smile* You can still have big hearty meals!!! There are hundreds of thousands if not millions of great veggie recipes out there… If you are hungry for something you used to eat as a meat eater just google it, ie: "vegetarian meatloaf recipe" or "vegetarian stew recipe" just put vegetarian/vegan in front and recipe behind and you can find a recipe for just about anything you like!!!! *Smile* As for bacon, I don't know where you are from, I live in Scotland and we have a few different fake bacon's… My favourite one is the Quorn bacon, its kind of like Sizzlean in America… My omni husband even likes it!!!! It is delicious on sandwiches and rolls or chopped up and put on a salad!!!!! Trust me, you will find lots of hearty meals, and think of all the fun you will have in trying to find your favourites!!!! Yummm!!!! *Smile* Good luck!!!!
You can find some great recipes from and they both are vegan, but that shouldn't matter, a lot of food is unintentionally vegan!!!! *Smile*
well im not british im ENGLISH! but no, no deranged person that i know calls a muffin an english muffin everyone calls them muffins. The state this countries in it would probably be seen as racist to call it an english muffin in-case i offend an immigrant ffs.
I would go with 'full' but either way is fine. It all depends on the situation. If you're at a cafe and they have different sizes then I would say 'I want a large cup of coffee, please.'
Hmmm, you might have better luck asking this in the math & science section, because this is a chemistry question. It has to do with how easy the molecules are to break down, I believe. Sugars (like honey, cane sugar, glucose syrup, corn syrup…) are all very easy to break down and metabolize, but some more so than others. I think glucose is the easiest – for mountain climbing, you can get these (nasty!) packets called Gu, and I think they're just solid glucose, so you can get the quickest energy – yech!
Anyway, along that same continuum are the other carbohydrates. That's what sugar is – a simple carbohydrate; starches and grains are complex carbohydrates, because I believe they're made up or multiple simple carbs joined together.
I think potato starch and white rice are all pretty basic – I think it's easy for your body to break them quickly into sugars, so you can get hungry again awfully soon. White flour (the "processed" kind) is just the endosperm of the grain – which, again, is easy to break down. The germ (which is protein) and the bran (fiber) are left in in whole grains – so you've got a lower concentration of the white, "easy" stuff (the endosperm) and the protein and fiber are now in there, making the bread harder to digest and keeping you full longer.
Whole wheat breads, pastas, etc… usually are made of a mix of whole wheat and white, refined flour – because whole wheat is heavy, and the white flour lightens it up. It's good to choose a bread that's got whole wheat flour as the first ingredient, I believe
Or anything that's got high fiber and protein counts.
Finally – I love Splenda! I say, go for it – I use it all the time
Hope that helps! Good luck
I dont find it ridiculous. I find it a wonderful tribute. The mission is one her mother should have had when dealing with Caylee. "establish programs to assist in the well-being of those children in need of comfort and support during difficult and stressful times." Sounds to me like they should promote what they failed to do with Caylee. No child deserves what she went through. Hopefully the foundation will actually help someone.

Cereal is really bad for you. So is corn, by the way. Give her slow cooked oatmeal for breakfast with some berries in it for sweetness. And processed chicken nuggets are a horrible choice, whole grain or not! Make your own chicken nuggets!
For the sake of your child, do a google search on GMO's and watch a documentary called The World According to Monsanto.

You can always eat fruit at night.
One grape contains about 1 calorie.
The Only type of grains you should be eating are WHOLE grains. (sorry for the caps, needed to emphasize =/) If you haven't already then you should be substituting all your other products with whole grain or whole wheat products.
Here's why:
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying eat a Lot of these whole grain products but substitute whatever little you do eat with them.
I'm a vegetarian so I don't eat meat. But if you're trying to lose weight then you should be eating fruits and vegetables.
There's no huge secret to weight loss, it's actually really simple, (all though I do know how confusing and frustrating it can seem):
1. losing weight doesn't mean eat a TON of vegetables and fruits and zero carbs, it's mainly, eat a LITTLE bit of everything (Note: everything doesn't equal junk food or food with empty calories or sugar -.-)
Everyone has a BMR (the amount of calories you would burn if you stayed in bed all day)
You can calculate yours here:
You need to eat less than you burn.
while at the same time making sure that your body doesn't go into 'starvation mode'.
'starvation mode' is when you eat too little or none of a particular thing so your body senses it's not getting a particular nutrient and this causes the metabolsim to slow down.
That's why it's important to eat a healthy balance (in small portions) of everything.
But the main point here is, eat less than you burn.
2.Drink lots of water.
It keeps your metabolism cleans and removes excess fat from your body.
3.Exercise
Al though it IS possible to lose weight without exercise, even a 15-20 minute walk everyday can speed up your weight loss.
Hope this helps =)
madness…. pure madness….
I would do it like this….
***** Question 1 *****
28.69 ml of NaOH = 25.00 ml original stomach acid
so….
10.45 ml NaOH x (25.00 ml orig. Stom. Acid / 28.69 ml NaOH) = 9.106 ml original stomach acid.
***** Question 2 *****
volume of original acid neutralized by antacid
since it took 10.45 ml NaOH to neutralize the remaining acid which = 9.106 ml original acid as shown in Question 1
therefore, the antacid neutralized = 75.00 ml – 9.106 ml = 65.89 ml
***** Question 3 *****
4.866 g antacid = 65.89 ml acid
soo……
6.502 g antacid x (65.89 ml acid / 4.866 g antacid) = 88.04 ml acid.
For me the best cup of coffee is just a plain coffee but some people would like to add sugar, milk, or beans.
Someday solar panels and other methods of harnessing power will be much more advanced and much cheaper to produce. Today is not that day, so use oil and coal and natural gas and all the other fuels we have used for years to bridge the gap, we have plenty to get us by. Forcing us to use technologies that are too expensive and not ready for mass usage is only a ploy to line the pockets of political allies who produce those products. No encouragement will be needed once solar panels and things like that become cheap…I mean, who wouldn't want an endless energy source that is free once the initial parts are purchased…my question is, how will the government take a piece then, with a "sun tax"?
Bagels are a ton of calories especially with the cheese and eggs. And corn pops are tons of sugar, which only keep you energized for a couple hours max, and actually make you hungrier than before.
A well balanced breakfast would be something like oatmeal (not the Quaker kind that's all sugary) with some brown sugar or banana slices on top, one piece of wheat toast and one egg max. Eggs do have good protein in them, but too many eggs are fattening and increase your cholesterol. And a glass of orange juice or 1% milk (or if you can, soy is better).
That's a great breakfast to lose weight and be healthy. If you don't like oatmeal, you can substitute it with plain corn flakes and add strawberries or banana slices to that to sweeten/add flavor to the cereal.
WELL, it depends on what your child ingested, as in whether or not to induce vomiting. If its a one time ordeal…it probably will not harm them….BUT, stomach acid does burn….and can burn the babys esophagus after prolonged vomiting. Nothing that will cause long term complications…but when in doubt, please call your local poison control to find out what needs to be done.
